The Apple iPhone Design & Display

As with all new gadgets, the iPhone has certainly received a lot of hype. Don't get me wrong, the Apple iPhone is a lovely and pioneering new phone which looks great, functions superbly and is easy to use. As outlined through my previous post, the iPhone host a range of features making it distinct and genuinely useful. Who wouldn't prefer carrying a single iPhone in their pocket instead of an ipod, camera, cellphone and PDA?

Design & Display
The iPhone measure 115mm tall by 61mm wide by 12mm deep, and if you have the pleasure of holding one in your hand, you will realise its actually not as big as one would expect. The phone itself has no keypad, just a screen which spans almost all of the front surface of the phone. The display is the juicy highlight of the phone - it looks fantastic. Instead of the usual plastic screen, the iPhone hosts a 3.5 inch glass display with a 80x320-pixel resolution - given its size, thats twice the resolution of a computer screen. The result is a beautifully sharp and colorful crystal clear display.
